Mayor's Field Day with Tennessee Titans!

Mayor Karl Dean is bringing a free, citywide Field Day to Nashville as his newest health challenge event and Wanderland Urban food Park will be there with Deg Thai and Slow & Low BBQ Bistro! Mayor's Field Day with the Tennessee Titans will take place at LP Field on Saturday, May 5 from 9:00am to 2:00pm as a way for residents to come together and learn fun ways to be active outdoors. The event will feature an obstacle course and educational fitness fair, as well as on-field games such as a classic sack race, water relay and fun team-movement activities in a relaxed, tournament-style format.
Field Day will be entirely free and is open to the public. Youth and adults of all ages and fitness levels are invited to come play where the Titans play. The event is hosted in partnership with the Tennessee Titans, and current and former Titans players, Titans cheerleaders and Titans mascot T-RAC will participate in the day's activities.

TACA Vendor Set Up Day at Centennial Park

The Tennessee Association of Craft Artists will hold the 41st anniversary of the TACA Tennessee Craft Fair May 4, 5 & 6 at Nashville’s Centennial Park. And Wanderland Urban Food Park will be on hand serving up TACA artists and all of Nashville for the fair set up day May 3. Join us with Yayo's O.M.G, Jonbalaya, The Coffee Truck and Deg Thai for lunch in the park!
Then come back the next few days for the TACA Fair and enjoy a special treat with the addition of painters and other traditionally fine artists to this historically fine craft event, joining the more than 160 Tennessee craft artists who will have work on display during the three-day event.
Healthy Kid's Day/H.E.A.L.s. (Healthy Eating Active Living) at Centennial Park

The city’s premier event to promote healthy eating and an active lifestyle among kids returns to Centennial Park on April 14. The free, one-day festival will engage children and their families in activities that affirm active, healthy lifestyle choices. Parents will leave this event with take home ideas to help keep their children active and make wiser decisions about eating.
And Wanderland Urban Food Park will be there serving up healthy and tasty fare for bellies young and younger alike! Join Rollin' & Smokin', Wrapper's Delight and Moovers & Shakers for lunch in the park!

The Community Education department of Watkins College of Art, Design & Film will host an Open House on Saturday, April 14, from 1:00-4:00 p.m., with free hands-on activities and demonstrations by faculty instructors in clay, book making, cartooning, watercolor painting and more, providing a preview to Community Education’s “Summer of the Arts” 2012 session. In conjunction with the Open House, the Watkins YART Sale will also be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m., offering original, affordable art at yard sale prices.
